Group skating lessons - Spring 2023 session
Registration opens March 14 ,2023 at 9h.
All group courses have been developed by Skate Canada, the national body for the promotion of the activities of figure skating in Canada.
All programs for this spring are ideal for children from 3.5 to 12 years. For each stage passed, the participant receives a badge as a reward. Places are limited in each program. For all group programs, a parent or a responsible adult must remain in the bleachers to encourage participants and in case of emergency or necessity. We recommend wearing warm clothes. The club uniform is not mandatory for newly registered skaters during the spring season. Except for the pre-junior group, helmets approved by CSA with face guards, and gloves/mitts are mandatory for all the skaters in group classes.
This spring we offer a 10-week program. The age requirement is between 3.5-5 for pre-CanSkate and 5-12 for Advanced/CanSkate, but we will take younger skaters provided they have passed Pre-CanSkate (and obtained a ribbon) or are able to stand on the ice without assistance and follow a group lesson. Walkers are not allowed on spring ice.
If our group classes are unsuitable for some reason, such as: schedule, age or other, you can opt for private lessons or semi-private lessons. You can select a regular ice session with the club and hire a certified coach. Visit the Private Lessons section for more information.
